Maureen began writing music at age seven, and with the encouragement of several music teachers, has continued to write songs since then. She has been featured as "Songwriter of the Week," on a music blog, and recieved many plays on her online music.In addition to her own music, Maureen has written music and lyrics for several theatrical productions including The Public Theatre of Minnesota's "Much Ado About Nothing," Minnesota State University, Mankato's 2016 touring musical "Zeusical at Olympus," and "Pullman Car Hiawatha: A New Musical Drama," presented as part of the Minnesota Fringe Festival.
